Wrapper Agreement

Version 12 November 2025 TapToWrap Ltd 7 minute read

Version date: 12 November 2025. This agreement applies to you if you supply wrapping through the TapToWrap network: a studio wrapper with a bench, a kiosk operator on one of our 214 mobile stations, or a seasonal wrapper taking December overflow. It governs how work reaches you, how you are paid, and what happens when something goes wrong. Consumers are covered by the terms of service.

The parties

TapToWrap Ltd is registered in England and Wales, number 15042118, at 2nd Floor, 31 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DJ, United Kingdom, VAT number GB 442 118 907. The network has run since 2023 and carries 1,412 vetted wrappers in 38 cities. You are the independent business named in your onboarding record.

You are an independent contractor

You run your own business. Nothing here creates employment, worker status, a partnership, or a joint venture, and nothing makes you our agent beyond the narrow authority below. You decide which slots to open, you may decline any booking, you set your own hours, you supply your own bench, tools, and paper library, and you may send a suitably skilled substitute who has passed the same checks. We do not supervise how you fold. We do specify the standard the finished item must meet.

You appoint us as your agent for one purpose: to advertise your availability, take payment on your behalf, issue receipts, and process refunds. Money we collect for a completed booking is held for you and paid out as below.

Onboarding and checks

Before your first slot opens you must clear three checks: photographic identity verification, evidence of your right to work in the United Kingdom, and two references who can speak to your reliability and your finish. We keep the outcome of each check, not the document, for two years after you leave.

Tell us within seven days if your right to work changes, if you are charged with an offence involving dishonesty or violence, or if your public liability cover lapses. Studio and kiosk wrappers must hold at least £1,000,000 of public liability insurance, and kiosk operators must follow the host venue’s rules.

Materials and finish standards

The customer books a tier, so the tier defines what you must deliver.

TierCustomer priceYour minimum standard
Classic£6 per item80 gsm paper or heavier, closed seams, no tape on show faces, one ribbon, written tag
Signature£14 per itemPaper choice from a library of 12 patterns or more, mitred corners, double ribbon, hand tied bow
Bespoke£29 per itemWrap to shape or a structured box, layered paper and trim, wax seal, calligraphed tag, photograph filed

Paper, ribbon, tape, boxes, and seals are yours to buy. Use recyclable paper where the finish allows, keep glitter film out of Classic and Signature, and never reuse a customer’s own packaging without asking. We audit finish through ratings and two mystery bookings per city each quarter.

Commission and payouts

We retain a 12% service commission on every consumer booking completed through the network, and the remaining 88% is yours. Commission covers the platform, payment processing, the marketing that produced the booking, the support line, and the insurance below. There is no joining fee and no charge for a slot nobody books.

Payouts run weekly. We close the period at 23:59 GMT on Sunday and send funds by Stripe every Tuesday for every booking marked complete, normally landing the same day. Your statement lists each booking, the gross price, the commission, any refund, and the net figure. Where a customer pays the 50% late cancellation fee, 88% of it is yours, because the bench time was already yours.

We withhold a payout only while an open damage claim, a chargeback, or a fraud investigation touches that specific booking, and we will tell you which and why. Corporate contracts of 40 units and above pay on the same weekly cycle, on the schedule stated in the order brief.

A featured listing costs £29 per month, billed in advance and cancellable before the next billing date. It gives you a Featured badge, placement above unfeatured wrappers in coverage results for your cities, a larger card with three portfolio images, and a monthly view and conversion report.

It does not guarantee bookings, views, revenue, a fixed position against other featured wrappers, or placement outside your coverage area. Featured wrappers are ranked among themselves by rating and reliability, so paying does not outrank a better wrapper who also pays, and the badge is always labelled as paid placement. Part months are not refunded, and a listing is suspended without refund if your account is deactivated for quality or safety.

Acceptance rates and slot reliability

You are free to decline work. What you must not do is publish a slot and then abandon it, because the customer is often standing in a shop with an unwrapped item. So we measure three numbers over a rolling 30 day window: the share of offers you accept, the share of accepted bookings you complete, and the share finished inside the tier turnaround. The network median is 61 minutes and the average rating is 4.91.

Fall below 70% completion of accepted bookings, or below a 4.2 rating over 20 or more bookings, and we will raise it and agree a plan. Close your slots for a fortnight and nothing happens; that is your business. Cancel three accepted bookings inside their four hour window in one month and we may pause new offers.

Insurance and claims

Network cover insures each item to £500 while it is in your care, and to £5,000 per item on corporate contracts. Cover assumes you followed the handover process: photograph the item at intake, log its condition, keep it away from food, liquid, and heat, and photograph it again at handover. Customers claim within 48 hours, and we will ask for your photographs within two working days.

Where a claim is upheld and the cause was ordinary handling, insurance pays and your payout is untouched. Where the cause was a failure to follow the handover process, we may recover the £75 excess from your next payout, never without showing you the evidence and giving you five working days to respond. Do not wrap a prohibited item: no perishables, live animals, cash, firearms, anything unlawful, nothing over 15 kg or 1.2 m. Refusing one never counts against your acceptance rate.

Confidentiality of gift contents

What is inside the paper stays between you, the customer, and us. Do not photograph an item’s contents, do not name a recipient in public, and do not discuss a booking with anyone but the customer who made it, not even the recipient. This duty continues after you leave. Portfolio images show finished wrapping only.

Data protection

For booking data we pass to you, we are the controller and you process it on our instructions under Article 28 of the UK GDPR. Use it only to complete the booking, keep it no longer than 90 days, store it securely, keep it out of your own marketing list, and do not send it outside the UK or the EEA. Report a suspected breach to privacy@taptowrap.co within 24 hours, and help us answer an access or deletion request within five working days.

Tax and National Insurance

You are responsible for your own income tax, National Insurance contributions, and VAT if you are registered or cross the threshold. We do not operate PAYE and we do not deduct tax. Register with HM Revenue and Customs as self employed or trade through your own company, keep records, and take your own advice. We report payout totals to HMRC where the digital platform reporting rules require it, and we send you a copy. You remain liable for tax you should have paid.

Deactivation and appeals

We may deactivate your account for any of the following, and we will tell you which one applies.

  • A failed or lapsed identity, right to work, or insurance check.
  • Theft, substitution, or deliberate damage to a customer’s item.
  • Breach of confidentiality, or misuse of customer data.
  • Abuse of, or a safety risk to, a customer, a courier, a venue, or our staff.
  • Persistent quality or reliability failure after an agreed improvement plan.
  • Soliciting payment off platform to avoid the commission, or gaming ratings.

Deactivation is immediate only for safety, dishonesty, or a legal reason. Otherwise you get 14 days notice and a chance to fix the problem. Appeal within 28 days by emailing partners@taptowrap.co. A reviewer outside the original decision reads the evidence, hears your account, and answers within 10 working days with reasons. Earned payouts are always paid.

Non-exclusivity, notice, and changes

Nothing here is exclusive. Work for competing platforms, keep your own direct clients, and price your direct work however you like. We ask only that a booking accepted here is completed here, and that you do not divert a customer we introduced away from the platform for the same job.

Either party may end this agreement on 14 days written notice, with no fee. Accepted bookings inside the notice period must be completed, or handed back at least 24 hours before the slot. We may amend this agreement on 30 days notice by email; if you would rather not accept a change, give notice inside those 30 days. English law governs.
