Accessibility Statement
Version date: 12 November 2025. This statement applies to taptowrap.co, including the four tap booking flow, the coverage pages, the wrapper directory, and the corporate enquiry form. It is written for anyone who uses this site with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, voice control, a switch, a magnifier, or simply needs larger text and less motion, and for the buyers and auditors who need our conformance position in writing.
Our commitment
Booking a wrap is a small errand under time pressure, usually done on a phone, often while standing in a shop. If the flow excludes you, the service excludes you. So accessibility is part of how we build rather than a pass at the end: every new component is checked with a keyboard and a screen reader before it ships, and an accessibility defect is filed at the same severity as a broken payment.
We also hold ourselves to it commercially. Corporate contracts from 40 units upward are frequently placed by public bodies and by companies with their own procurement standards, and we would rather publish honest limitations than claim a clean sheet.
Conformance target and status
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, which is also the technical basis of EN 301 549 in Europe and the standard most commonly cited in the United States.
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not, and the exceptions are listed below with dates. We do not claim full conformance while any known AA failure is open. Testing was carried out between 20 October and 7 November 2025 by our own engineers, with an independent audit of the booking flow commissioned for February 2026.
What we have done
- Keyboard paths. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in an order that matches the visual layout. The whole booking flow, from postcode to confirmation, has been walked with the mouse unplugged. There are no keyboard traps, no drag only interactions, and a skip link to main content is the first stop on every page.
- Focus visibility. Focus is shown with a two pixel outline plus a contrasting offset ring, never removed, and never relying on colour alone. Focus is not obscured by the sticky booking bar, which yields when a focused field sits behind it.
- Contrast. Body text runs at 4.5 to 1 or better against every background it sits on, and large display type and interface borders at 3 to 1 or better. Our primary blue was darkened during build specifically to clear the ratio for button labels, and price emphasis in orange is never used as a background for body copy.
- Reduced motion. All animation, including the rotating sticker, the section reveals, and the marquee, is inside a preference query and simply does not run if your system asks for reduced motion. Nothing flashes, nothing autoplays with sound, and no motion is required to understand content.
- Semantic landmarks and headings. Real header, nav, main, and footer regions, one h1 per page, and a heading order with no skipped levels, so a screen reader user can jump to prices or coverage without reading the page from the top.
- Form labels and errors. Every field has a visible, persistent label rather than a placeholder. Required fields are marked in text. Validation messages appear next to the field, are announced through a live region, name the specific problem, and never rely on red text alone. Autocomplete attributes are set so a browser or password manager can fill address and contact fields for you.
- Alt text. Photography of hands, paper, and creases carries descriptive alternative text written by a person, not generated. Decorative images are marked as decorative so they are skipped. Icons that carry meaning have text alternatives, and no meaning is conveyed by an icon alone.
- Zoom and reflow. The page reflows to a single column at 400% zoom on a 1280 pixel viewport without horizontal scrolling or lost content, and text can be resized to 200% without clipping. Nothing is locked to one orientation.
- Time limits. A held slot expires after 10 minutes. You are warned at two minutes remaining and can extend without losing anything you have entered.
Known limitations
These are the failures we know about. Each one has an owner and a fix date.
| Barrier | Criterion affected | Identified | Fix expected | Alternative available now |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The embedded coverage map is pan and zoom only, so city boundaries and kiosk pins cannot be reached by keyboard or read by a screen reader | 2.1.1 Keyboard, 1.1.1 Non-text Content | 20 October 2025 | 28 February 2026 | A text list of all 38 cities, with kiosk counts and addresses, sits directly beneath the map and carries the same data |
| The third party payment iframe supplied by our card processor announces its card number field inconsistently in older screen reader and browser pairings, and its inline error text falls slightly below our contrast floor | 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value and 1.4.3 Contrast | 27 October 2025 | 31 March 2026, dependent on the processor’s release | Book by phone on +44 20 4525 8810 and pay over a secure link, or ask for an invoice |
| Two archived seasonal case study videos published before 2025 have captions but no audio description | 1.2.5 Audio Description | 3 November 2025 | 31 January 2026 | A full written transcript is linked under each video |
We have raised the payment iframe issues with the processor, we track their release notes monthly, and we will move the fix date in public if they move theirs. Where a limitation is not ours to fix, the alternative route stays available for as long as the limitation does.
How we test
Automated checks run on every pull request, but they catch a minority of real problems, so the substance of our testing is manual. The booking flow is completed end to end with each of the following combinations before a release.
- NVDA with Firefox and with Chrome on Windows 11.
- JAWS with Chrome on Windows 11.
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS, and VoiceOver with Safari on iPhone.
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android.
- Keyboard only, with no pointing device attached.
- Dragon voice control for form completion.
- Browser zoom at 400%, and Windows high contrast mode.
We pay disabled testers at our standard research rate for two sessions per quarter, because internal testing finds compliance failures while real users find the parts that are technically passing and still exhausting.
Report a barrier
If something on this site blocks you, tell us and we will fix it or find you a way round it. Email hello@taptowrap.co with accessibility in the subject line, or call +44 20 4525 8810 between 08:00 and 20:00 GMT, seven days a week. It helps if you can say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and which browser and assistive technology you use, but a single sentence is enough to start.
We commit to a substantive reply within five working days: an acknowledgement, our understanding of the problem, and either a fix date or a workaround. Anything that stops a booking being completed is treated as urgent and worked the same week. We add every confirmed barrier to the table above at the next revision, whether or not it is fixed by then.
If you need information from this site in another format, such as large print, plain text, or a document read aloud, ask and we will send it within five working days at no cost.
Booking without the website
The phone line is a full alternative, not a message service. Call +44 20 4525 8810 and a person will take your postcode, item size, wrap tier, and slot, read the price back, arrange a studio drop off, a kiosk visit, or a courier collection, and take payment over a secure link or by invoice. Every price, every tier, and every slot available online is available by phone at the same cost, with no surcharge for booking this way. Corporate buyers who need an accessible ordering route for a volume contract should write to partners@taptowrap.co and we will set up an email or invoice based process.
Enforcement and escalation
We are a private company, so the public sector website regulations do not apply to us, but the Equality Act 2010 does, and it requires us to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not put at a substantial disadvantage. We treat WCAG 2.2 AA as the measure of that duty.
If you are not satisfied with our response, escalate it. In the United Kingdom, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, which advises on Equality Act complaints. In the European Union, our accessibility position under the European Accessibility Act can be raised with the market surveillance authority in your country. In the United States, you may raise a complaint under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Ask us for the raw audit notes behind this statement and we will send them, because a statement nobody can check is not worth publishing.
