Terms of Service

Version 12 November 2025 TapToWrap Ltd 7 minute read

Version date: 12 November 2025. These terms apply to you when you book a wrap through taptowrap.co, by phone, or under a corporate order form, and they form a contract between you and TapToWrap Ltd. Separate terms govern professional wrappers who supply the service; those are set out in the wrapper agreement. By confirming a booking you accept these terms, so read them before you tap the fourth time rather than after.

Who we are, and what we are not

TapToWrap Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, number 15042118, at 2nd Floor, 31 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DJ, United Kingdom. Our VAT number is GB 442 118 907.

TapToWrap operates a marketplace. We do not wrap your gift. When you book, you enter a contract for wrapping with the independent professional you are matched with, and a separate contract with us for the platform that found them, held your slot, and took your payment. Every wrapper is an independent business, responsible for their own bench, materials, and tax affairs.

We act as the wrapper’s disclosed agent for the limited purpose of collecting payment, issuing receipts, and processing refunds. Paying us discharges your obligation to pay the wrapper. Agency does not make us the supplier of the wrapping, or the wrapper our employee.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you book for a business you confirm you have authority to bind it. Give us an email address and mobile number you actually read, because slot changes and courier alerts go there.

Booking and slots

Booking is four taps: postcode, item size, wrap tier, slot. You then choose one of three fulfilment shapes: studio drop off, where you hand the item to a wrapper and collect it, typically inside 60 minutes; mobile kiosk, at one of our 214 stations; or courier wrap, where a rider collects, a wrapper finishes, and the rider delivers.

Your booking is an offer. The contract forms when we confirm the wrapper and the slot. Slots are held for 10 minutes while you pay, then released. Turnaround times, including our 61 minute median, describe network performance and are targets rather than guarantees. If a wrapper cannot make a slot we will offer another wrapper, a later slot, or a full refund.

Prices, tiers, and the service commission

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Three tiers cover consumer bookings, priced per item.

TierPrice per itemWhat it includes
Classic£6House paper, taped folds, single ribbon, plain tag
Signature£14Chosen paper from the wrapper’s library, double ribbon, hand tied bow, written tag
Bespoke£29Structured box or wrap to shape, layered paper and trim, wax seal, calligraphed tag

Courier collection and delivery is quoted separately before you confirm, and depends on distance and slot. Corporate contracts start at 40 units and are priced on an order form that overrides the tier table for that order.

You should know how we are paid. TapToWrap retains a 12% service commission from every consumer booking and the wrapper receives the balance. The commission sits inside the price you see, so nothing is added at checkout. We also sell featured listings to wrappers at £29 per month, which affects placement in coverage results and is always labelled as paid.

Payment and authorisation holds

Payments are processed by Stripe and we never see your full card number. When you confirm a booking we place an authorisation hold for the full amount, which reserves the funds without taking them, and we capture payment when the wrap is handed over or delivered. Cancelled holds normally clear within seven days.

For Bespoke bookings and any order above £250 we may capture a 25% deposit, stated before you confirm. Corporate accounts are invoiced on 14 day terms. Late invoices carry statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Refunds go to the original payment method.

Cancellation, changes, and no-shows

Cancel free of charge up to four hours before your slot starts, and the hold is released in full. Cancel inside four hours and we charge 50% of the booking value, because the wrapper has reserved bench time and turned away other work. A no-show at a studio or kiosk, or an empty collection address during a courier window, is treated the same way.

You can move a slot once at no cost if you tell us more than four hours ahead. We waive the late fee for a bereavement, a hospital admission, or weather that closes the route, and we do not ask for proof the first time.

Because wrapping is made to your specification and starts as soon as your slot opens, the 14 day right to cancel a distance contract does not apply once work has begun. Your rights when something goes wrong are set out below and are unaffected.

What we will not wrap

Do not hand over, or ask a courier to collect, any of the following.

  • Perishable food, fresh flowers, or anything requiring refrigeration.
  • Live animals, plants in soil, or biological material.
  • Cash, bearer instruments, uninsured jewellery above £500, or items of purely sentimental value that cannot be replaced.
  • Firearms, ammunition, bladed weapons, fireworks, or any controlled explosive.
  • Prescription medicines, vapes and nicotine products, alcohol for a recipient under 18, or any controlled drug.
  • Flammable liquids, aerosols above 250 ml, corrosives, and lithium cells outside their original retail packaging.
  • Counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise unlawful goods, and anything indecent or intended to harass.
  • Anything over 15 kg, or longer than 1.2 m on any side.

A wrapper or courier may refuse an item on the spot, and refusal for a prohibited item counts as a late cancellation. You are responsible for any loss caused by handing over a prohibited item, and we will report unlawful goods to the police.

Insurance, damage claims, and liability

Every item is insured to £500 while in a wrapper’s or courier’s care, and to £5,000 per item on corporate contracts. Tell us within 48 hours of collection or delivery if an item is damaged, missing, or unusable, and send photographs of the item and packaging. Later claims are hard to substantiate and may be declined. We aim to settle inside 10 working days by repair, replacement, or payment up to the insured limit.

Our total liability to you for any booking is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for that booking and the applicable insured limit. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for the disappointment of a recipient, for a missed occasion, or for loss of profit. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Courier handover and risk

Risk passes to the courier when the rider scans the item at collection, and back to you or the recipient at delivery. Every handover is photographed and timestamped. If nobody is available the rider makes one further attempt, then returns the item to the nearest studio for three days. A stated safe place is at your risk and cannot be insured.

Complaints and resolution

Email support@taptowrap.co or call +44 20 4525 8810 between 08:00 and 20:00 GMT, seven days a week. We acknowledge within one working day and aim to resolve within five. If you are still unhappy, ask for escalation to a senior resolution lead, who gives a final position within a further five working days. Nothing here stops you going to court.

Intellectual property

The TapToWrap name, wordmark, site design, photography, and copy belong to us or our licensors. Do not copy, scrape, or reuse them, and do not use our name to imply endorsement. If you post a photograph or review you keep ownership and grant us a royalty free licence to display it, which you can end by asking.

Indemnity, termination, and changes

You agree to cover our reasonable losses arising from your breach of these terms, from a prohibited item, or from a false claim. Either of us may close your account at any time; we will give reasonable notice unless there is fraud, abuse of our staff or wrappers, or a safety risk, in which case closure is immediate. Bookings already confirmed and paid are honoured or refunded.

We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. The version date at the top moves with each revision, and material changes are emailed to account holders at least 14 days ahead. Your booking is governed by the terms in force when it was confirmed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction, although consumers in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or the EEA may also sue locally.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms reduces your rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a service must be performed with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where none was agreed, and goods supplied as part of it must be of satisfactory quality. If a wrap falls short you can ask for it to be redone or for a price reduction. Where those rights conflict with anything above, your rights win.
